Weaboos, and what makes them weaboos.

In case you live under a rock and don't know what that means, weaboos (also spelled weeboos/ weebos) are the people who "know a lot" about certain shit when in truth, they don't. Or they do, but they're just making such a huge ass deal about it, to the point where it becomes annoying and inappropriate.

For example: this certain person knows.. a lot about books and likes reading a lot. He keeps on going on how beautifully written Twilight was and how 50 Shades of Grey (or Gray or Gay, whichever) made his heart go boom boom, and how Rick Riordan is so original. Funnier part is all this person ever talks about is how many books he has or how he needs to read this and that. Posts shit on FB like "how wonderful it is to read", "oh golly i'm so good at reading", "my collection of ebooks is so vast I can open my own elibrary".

The most common weaboo, though, is the anime weaboo. Going around the internet and telling everyone they're 'otaku' (Japanese word that literally translates to 'geek', someone who is an enthusiasts of a particular genre, not limited to anime) and say that they have watched a lot of anime series and know a hundred thousand things more than the guys who don't watch anime (more like people-who-aren't-weaboos).

Sigh. They just.. make me really sad. They often post inaccurate stuff about a certain show (anything in particular, actually) and instead of being praised, they get bashed by the society instead. Often ridiculed in social networking sites and also insulted in real life.

I don't like calling myself an otaku because I haven't really watched a lot of shows/anime or know a lot of shit.. I just like what I like and watch want I want to watch. Like, Mother Mary on a broomstick. Seriously. I just don't know how to put this into words but I'll try my best: People who think they know a lot should just shut the fuck up. Going around telling everyone you're so smart and different could actually make you look like the exact opposite. I mean, why boast about it when you're confident that you know more shit than all the other losers out there, right? What makes people weaboos anyway? Maybe extreme love for a certain genre, idol or anime series? A strong need for attention and wanting to be different? I don't really understand it. Wise old people say silent water runs deep, but these guys just don't agree with that.

Meh. Whatever. They irritate the living hell out of me but I can't really do anything about it, except bash them online. Oops.
