Influences?

I am so disappointed because my favorite persons actually like listening to K-pop. Anyway.

I've been really giving my musical and fashion influences a thought lately. My friend Jade and I were talking about this the last time. I mean, with how we dress and all the wanting to get the piercings and tattoos and shit- why do we wanna do it?

I understand Jade because she has been into the whole 70's rock music and Queen and Led Zeppelin and she basically knows a lot about what she likes. All those rock stars smoking and getting tats and wrecking guitars while riding motorcycles wearing leather jackets would just get to you after, let's say, almost 15 years of liking it. Jade's into the glam rock leather-studs-gold-tattoos shiz and when I tell you she knows what she's doing, that's an understatement.

I could say that ever since I discovered tokyofashion.com, my biggest influences with the way I dress are Miho & MahoHirari Ikeda and Juria Nakagawa. These girls really amaze me. They look so grunge-y and bad ass, and so clean and sexy at the same time even though they really don't show that much skin (well maybe cept for Hirari since she really likes showing off her perf breasts). To me they're like the image of being free and doing what you want. Hirari, who is a make-up student, also aims to be much better than she was the day before, which really inspires me too- plus the fact that I also want to be a make-up artist myself.  I'd like to get cheek piercings like one of the twins (lol unfortunately I still can't tell which is Miho and Maho haha), and to own an accessory from OS would be one of the best things in life to happen. It's not that I want to be Miho, Maho or Hirari.. they just greatly influence and inspire me in a lot of ways. Juria on the other hand is this sweet and spunky girl who, in my opinion, isn't really that pretty, but knows how to carry herself very well- and I love that. Being beautiful isn't always everything, sometimes it's just really how you see yourself.

With music, which was really hard for me to decide- because I think you really can't do that. What I did was though I just stopped listening to the new shit I listened to for awhile and- poof! My favorite artists/singers/bands/whatever you call that shit would be Puffy (AKA Puffy AmiYumi), My Chemical Romance, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and a bit of ONE OK ROCK, SiD and Shiina Ringo (since it's quite hard to find her music online, especially that Tokyo Jihen does not allow access to their vids from my country for some racist reason). Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Capsule and Hatsune Miku (influenced by boyfriend) would be additions, because I just recently discovered that I like listening to that electric music synth shit a lot. Supercell is also one of my newest faves (also influenced by boyfriend and Guilty Crown), and Panic! At the Disco, this influenced by Jade and her love for all the circus-y scene. The artists/singers/bands/whatever you call that shit also influence me greatly with the way I dress. I really think that I started to love Harajuku fashion because of Puffy, and got my left ear pierced because of Yumi.

Some who don't know me very well get quite surprised when they find out that I'm not into the whole punk/screamo/scene/metal/whatever music, usually because of how I look. They also assume I worship Satan which always cracks me up.

Well, I guess I'm mash-up of a lot of things. I think that's awesome.
